I created this project during a strange time in my life. I have struggled with bipolar disorder and severe depression since 2005 and a few years ago I was in the habit of collecting electronics that people threw away on the street. Someone threw away a record player which I brought home. The next week I found a mixer in the same location. My mother had an old collection of gospel records in the garage and I thought it was time I realize my dream of making a gospel album that was true to the essence of hip hop, which includes sampling records. I put together various old equipment from around the house and recorded this project. Initially I only sent it to a few friends by email and that was it. But recently my self esteem has been the lowest it has ever been and just when I was thinking I had nothing to contribute to the world, God put the idea in my mind to unearth this project. I find that it has some good substance. It is very raw and imperfect, but I find the words to be powerful and the music to be soulful. I never thought I would make this available to the public but I believe now is the time.
